Intercultural Training

Nowadays your customers are probably no longer only located in your own region, but also across your home country and overseas. The Lexica team itself constantly works with clients from across the world, from the UK to the US, Germany to Switzerland and the Netherlands to Sweden.

Even though we all use pretty similar communication tools, the design, language and content often varies between international target audiences.

The values that we have been brought up can be quite different and impact on how we communicate, but also interact with others. And without awareness and knowledge of these differences, we can misinterpret situations and not build up effective and long-lasting relationships.

Simply speaking English as the world’s business language is not enough as often the meaning of words or expressions may not be understood in the same way. People have different expectations with regards to what they want to learn about you and your company, what is a comfortable negotiation style and how to lead a project or a team. Not paying attention to these cultural differences may impact on your marketing campaign, your sales negotiations, effectiveness of your presentations and successful project completion.

Through our intercultural training, we help you to look at your own values and preferences and gain a greater insight into your international counterparts’ background and possible differences. You will gain skills that enable you to appreciate intercultural differences and have a more successful work relationship with your international partners.

We also offer tailored business language training for German and English that combines some aspects of intercultural training.
