Lexica Communications has been involved in many regional and international initiatives such as:

Stammtisch – we organise a regulars’ table that meets every six to eight weeks at a location in the North East, promoting all things German – www.stammtisch.org.uk

Elevator Pitch – start-up competition for North East SMEs with participation of winners from a German Elevator Pitch organised by the Leipzig based ICC Sprachinstitut

Sell International – organising events and networking opportunities for 15 SMEs from Germany with the North East business community in conjuction with ICC Sprachinstitut, Leipzig

Leipzig Initiative – promoting and organising a trip for North East delegates from the public and private sector to find out more about the location Leipzig. This included visits to the local Chamber of Commerce, Porsche, Leipzig Trade Fair and to establish first links between two regions and businesses

German Day / Carnival Day – organised together with Belsay First School to promote the celebration of carnival, with international food, music and activities

Young Enterprise – we delivered a 5-week ‘My Family’ course to two Year 1 classes at a North East school; also provided speaker at Young Enterprise events

TEDCO – delivering presentations on marketing and entrepreneurship to students at various schools in South Tyneside

Regional Language Network North East – speaker at various events and member of steering group for German Wave, sponsorship of German Film Season at the Tyneside Cinema
